Heather or Scottish Heather


Heather is a native of Scotland and is a evergreen shrub.


Medicinal Uses: Heather has antiseptic, cholagogue, diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant and vasoconstrictor properties. The plant is used to treat insomnia, depression, stomachache, coughs and acne.

Heather is also used to cleanse the blood, to aid kidney disease and to inhibit the growth of kidney stones, also aids rheumatism and gout. In Heather there are found compounds which help with the constriction of blood vessel, strengthens the heart ❤️ and moderately raises blood pressure. It also stimulates the flow of bile and urine.

How to use heater:


Heather tea is used as a diuretic to treat urinary tract infection and also to treat cardiac palpitation, migraines and other heart diseases.

A cream made from Heather is used to treat arthritis and rheumatism.

Tea made from Heather flowers is used to suppress cough and aid with insomnia.


How to use:

add 4 cups of water in a clean pot. Bring to boil then add the plant materia. turn off the stove, cover the pot and allow to steep for 15-20 min. Drink 2-3 cups daily.
