on the body, or moving through the body to other area. May be cases where the receiver doesn’t perceive any change at all. After treatment most patients feel very relaxed and peaceful and some even fall asleep while receiving a Reiki/Energy treatment.

Practitioners typically apply a session of Reiki/Energy treatment in a peaceful and private setting. However, the treatment can be done anywhere. During a session, the client can sit down in a comfortable chair or lie on a masage table, fully clothed.

The practitioner could gently place their hands lightly on the client or over specific areas of the body, such as; head, legs, arms and torso. The hands are typically kept in these positions for 3–10 minutes.

If there are particular injuries such as a burn, the practitioner will hold their hands just above the affected area.

Generally while the practitioner holds the hands lightly on or over the body, the energy transfer takes place. During this transfer the practitioner can feel a heat or warming sensation or a tingling. The hand position is hold on or over the body until there is a sense that the energy flow has stopped flowing.

When the practitioner feels that the energy or heat, in their hands has gone, then the hands will be removed and place them over a different body area.
